Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Evalora ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Evalora. Please read them carefully.
Description of Service
Evalora is a web-based platform designed for psychological research. We provide tools to:
- Create and manage research studies
- Select from validated psychological instruments
- Collect participant responses via online forms
- Perform statistical analysis on collected data
- Generate APA-formatted reports and export data
- Store research data securely in Google Drive
User Eligibility
To use Evalora, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- Have a valid Google account
- Be affiliated with an educational institution or conducting legitimate research
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law
By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
User Accounts & Responsibilities
Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Google account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Ensuring your contact information is accurate and up-to-date
Account Termination
You may terminate your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Upon account deletion, your data in our database will be permanently deleted. Data in your Google Drive remains yours and is not affected.
Acceptable Use Policy
You May:
- Use Evalora for legitimate academic and research purposes
- Create studies using validated psychological instruments
- Collect data from consenting participants
- Export and analyze your research data
- Share participant links for your studies
You May NOT:
- Use the Platform for illegal, harmful, or unethical purposes
- Conduct research without proper ethical approval (when required)
- Collect personally identifiable information without consent
- Violate participants' privacy or rights
- Attempt to circumvent security measures or paywalls
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Platform
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform
- Upload malicious code or content
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Interfere with the Platform's operation or other users' access
Research Ethics & Compliance
You are solely responsible for ensuring your research complies with all applicable ethical guidelines, institutional review board (IRB) requirements, and laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, FERPA).
When conducting research through Evalora, you must:
- Obtain necessary ethical approvals before beginning data collection
- Provide informed consent to participants
- Protect participant confidentiality and anonymity
- Handle sensitive data in accordance with applicable regulations
- Comply with your institution's research policies
- Respect participant rights to withdraw at any time
Evalora is a tool — you remain the principal investigator and are responsible for the ethical conduct of your research.
Psychological Instruments
Using Our Catalog
Evalora provides access to validated psychological instruments. When using these instruments:
- Verify you have the right to use them (some require permission from authors)
- Cite instruments properly in your research
- Respect copyright and intellectual property rights
- Do not modify instruments without authorization
Uploading Custom Instruments
When you upload a custom instrument, you:
- Represent that you have the legal right to use and share it
- Grant Evalora permission to include it in our public catalog
- Acknowledge that other users may use it without your explicit approval
- Accept full responsibility for its legality and validity
- Indemnify Evalora against any claims arising from its use
Evalora does not verify the validity, legality, or copyright status of user-uploaded instruments. Use at your own discretion and legal risk.
Subscription & Payment Terms
Pay What You Want Pricing
Evalora operates on a unique "pay what you want" pricing model. We believe in fair pricing and trust you to evaluate our service and pay what you think it's worth.
You set your own monthly subscription price (minimum $5/month) based on how much you value Evalora. That's it. No tiers, no limits, no hidden fees.
What You Get
With any paid subscription (minimum $5/month), you receive full access to all features:
- Unlimited research studies
- Unlimited participant responses
- Full statistical analysis suite (descriptive stats, t-tests, ANOVA, correlations, etc.)
- Data export in all formats (CSV, SPSS, Excel, Word, PDF, APA tables, JSON)
- Access to validated psychological instruments catalog
- Upload and use custom instruments
- Secure encrypted storage in your Google Drive
- Email support
Payment Terms
- Minimum Amount: $5.00 USD per month
- You Choose: Pay $5, $10, $20, or any amount you feel is fair
- Billing: Monthly recurring payment via PayPal
- Access: Full platform access maintained as long as subscription is active
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime through your account settings or PayPal
- After Cancellation: Access continues until the end of your current billing period
- Refunds: Full refund available within 7 days of payment, no questions asked
- Failed Payments: Platform access suspended until payment issue is resolved
- Price Adjustments: You can change your monthly amount anytime through your account

Intellectual Property Rights
Evalora's IP
The Platform, including all code, design, text, graphics, and functionality, is owned by Evalora and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your IP
You retain all rights to:
- Your research data and results
- Study designs and materials you create
- Instruments you upload (subject to sharing terms)
License to Evalora
By using the Platform, you grant us a limited license to:
- Process and store your study metadata
- Display your uploaded instruments in our catalog
- Use anonymized, aggregated data for platform improvement
Disclaimers & Limitations
Service "As Is"
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Security or data loss prevention
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EVALORA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the last 12 months
- Issues arising from third-party services (Google, PayPal, etc.)
You are solely responsible for backing up your data, verifying results, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and ethical guidelines.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Evalora and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Platform
- Violation of these Terms
- Violation of any third-party rights
- Your research activities and data collection
- Instruments you upload or use
- Any harm to research participants
Third-Party Services
Evalora integrates with third-party services, including:
- Google Drive: For data storage (subject to Google's Terms of Service)
- Google Apps Script: For automated data processing
- PayPal: For payment processing (subject to PayPal's Terms)
We are not responsible for these third-party services. Your use of them is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes:
- We'll update the "Last Updated" date
- We'll notify you via email
- We'll display a notice on the Platform
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you don't agree to modified terms, you must stop using the Platform.
Termination
By You
You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Abuse the Platform or other users
- Fail to pay subscription fees
Effects of Termination
- Access to the Platform will be revoked
- Your account data will be deleted from our servers
- Data in your Google Drive remains yours
- Outstanding payments remain due
Governing Law & Disputes
